Faith and Community

A church is not just a building - it is a community.  A church does not simply have an address - it sits within a community.  A church does not exist only for its members - it also seeks to engage with and to serve the community in which it sits.

According to Mark's gospel, Jesus was once asked: "Of all the commandments, which is the most important?"

"The most important one," answered Jesus, "is this: 'Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one.  Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.'  The second is this: 'Love your neighbour as yourself.'  There is no commandment greater than these."   (The Bible (NIV), Mark 12:28-31)

We seek to serve God not just through the worship we offer in our churches Sunday by Sunday, but also through our daily lives and through 'loving our neighbour'.

The information pages about each church carry details of regular community events.  If there is any other information you would like about community events, please contact us.
